It is not a “mini-lift” or some quick or threaded procedure that is limited to only a few areas and is short lasting.

It is designed for each patient to be as “minimally invasive” as possible. It does not have the scarring and long term recovery needed with the older, more aggressive face lift techniques. The face lift helps to eliminate the sagging neck and cheek skin, to eliminate excess fat in areas, to define the jaw line, tighten the neck, tighten the jowl regions, and lift the cheeks.

The face lift can help the aging process, whether you are 40 or 70. The face lift does not just pull up the skin to tighten a few areas for a short time like the mini-lift procedures. It surgically removes excess fat and excess skin, tightens the neck muscles, and re-positions and suspends upwards the underlying facial soft tissues in order to provide a natural long lasting result.

The face lift can help people in many ways but how a person “looks” is affected by such things as genetics, diet, exercise, drugs, the sun, and the natural aging process. These factors will also all play a role in how long the results will last.

Many individuals do well with only the laser assisted face lift but some individuals might benefit from eyelid surgery along with the face lift. Those individuals with major sun damage or deep wrinkles usually will benefit from one or more of our laser resurfacing treatments. At times, filling the facial areas, such as around the mouth, the cheeks, the lips, and above the eyes with injections of your own fat can also help to restore that “youthful look.“ We have found that using one’s own fat tends to last much longer than standard injections with Botox and Juvederm. During your consultation your consultants will discuss all of the various options that are best for you, and when you meet with the surgeon he will also examine you and discuss what options he feels would be of benefit to you.
