What can you expect after your rhinoplasty procedure?
Immediately following the rhinoplasty procedure, a splint or nasal packing are usually placed inside the nose and a splint or taping placed on the outside of the nose. The packing is normally removed in 3 to 5 days, and the splint is removed in 7 to 10 days. The majority of swelling and bruising resolves within 7 to 14 days. Even though the majority of the rhinoplasty changes can be seen shortly after surgery, gradual changes continue to occur for many months. In some individuals, it may take up to a year to see the final result.
